Morbihan Southern Brittany: The Bellilois microclimate

Belle-île is located at a bioclimatic crossroads: on one side the Mediterranean climate, on the other the northern climate, known as boreal, to which is added the presence of the wind: coming from the east it can be cold and from the west, it can be wet. It almost never freezes in winter, so there is no need to scrape the windshield here! The sea all around warming the atmosphere.

On the question of the sunshine rate around the 2,000 hours per year, Belle-île has nothing to envy to cities in the South of France like Toulouse!
Nevertheless, we don’t have the same humidity rate, nor the same temperatures…although!? You will have understood, the weather is not a question even if the global warming is a problem that affects us all!

So to choose the best period to discover Belle-île, we know you concocted a provisional calendar of attendance.

A trip to Brittany’s largest island cannot be improvised, it has to be prepared, anticipated, and matured in order to have the most beautiful experience there, whatever the weather!

And if it rains… a chance for our water reserves and the opportunity to make beautiful encounters!
