Lyrique en Mer : Sacré Mozart !

A mischievous genius and eternal child, Mozart also knew how to open the doors to the sacred. With the Ave Verum Corpus, the Exsultate, Jubilate, the Laudate Dominum, and his moving Requiem, this evening pays tribute to music where light mingles with shadow, where the joy of life converses with the great questions of existence. Left unfinished at the composer's death, the Requiem remains one of the most fascinating works in the history of music: a meditation on mortality, but also a profound affirmation of our humanity. Through these timeless pages, the bonds that unite us—family, faith, love, loss, and hope—are revealed in music that continues to speak to each generation. To celebrate the 270th anniversary of Mozart's birth, the artists of the Opera Studio join the Festival Choir and the season's guest soloists under the direction of Guillaume Paire. Presented in new arrangements by François Bernard, this program offers a fresh perspective on these masterpieces, revealing their full expressive power, intimacy and eternal beauty.
