“The Survival of the Species is a social satire that plunges us into the world of young parents obsessed with their children’s success. The humor is absurd and cruel, serving as a pretext for reflection on education, competition, and social class. The characters are presented to the audience like the animals in a nature documentary: we study them, examine them, laugh at recognizing our neighbor, and sometimes at seeing a bit of ourselves in them.” The text won the 2025 SACD-Beaumarchais Prize, and the project received ARTCENA funding the same year.
