Animations for all ages and demonstrations around the cultivation and processing of cereals. On a plot of land that hosts 35 varieties of ancient wheat intended for multiplication. This is the beginning of a story of seeds to know, to share, to celebrate…! On the program: From grain to bread, and not only and the CPIE - Maison de la Nature Belle Ile en Mer offer you two visits for the threshing festival: Saturday August 19 at 2:30 p.m.: La Ferme à Domois Sunday August 20 at 10:30 a.m. : The experimental fruit orchard in the Port Yorc'h valley Reservation on 06 80 41 32 66 - Free tours 12:30 p.m.: festive meal (€15) - dugrainaupain.belle.ile@gmail.com 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.: Workshops for young and old. – Discovery of the different stages of growth of wheat until its milling – Observation of different textures of flour – Mowing with a scythe – Threshing with a flail, sorting with a sieve, bagging – Making ropes – Working the land with a mare harnessed – Walks with Elsa's donkeys With the participation of young and older farmers, witnesses of these threshing practices, in a musical and festive atmosphere guaranteed!
