Conférence : Voyage en terres baltiques: de Gdansk à Tallinn

By Béatrice Crickx. In 2016, exploring northern Poland and then the three Baltic states was possible by bus, passing through the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. Lands of bloodshed, these territories have a rich history at the crossroads of the Scandinavian, Slavic, and Germanic worlds. With peace restored, these states have revitalized this past through their cities. Each country has a distinct character and a landscape that, while flat, is peaceful with its forests and lakes. Discovering them remains a possible journey despite the tensions along their borders.
