Stage de raku

Sarah Mesnay invites you to come and experience a magical moment around fire and earth and discover a pottery firing technique of Japanese origin. Lovers of strong experiences wishing to take a first step towards the raku technique, and complete beginners are welcome. This Raku course takes place over 2 non-consecutive days. Between these 2 days, a drying and firing time is necessary. - 1st day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. you will shape your pieces with different techniques: on the plate, coils, stamping, and I will show you how to combine these techniques to realize your projects. - 2nd day from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to approximately 6 p.m., we will select the already prepared raku glazes, I will explain to you how to make the reserves and the technique of glazing the pieces, then the Raku firings, followed by smoking. And finally, cleaning of the rooms and storage of the equipment. Registration required at 06 83 80 93 57. Places limited to 4 adults. Price: €270/person (€150 deposit to validate registration) including accompaniment, unlimited Raku clay and tools, waxes, enamels and oxides, 2 firings electric kiln and gas kiln.
