This survey was initiated as part of a citizen consultation launched by the CCBI (Communauté de Communes du Belle-Île-en-Mer) and led by the Auray Region Development Council. The working group on mobility aimed to identify the challenges of daily travel on the island and to the mainland. The decision was made to consult residents and mobility professionals through a questionnaire and interviews in order to define a long-term vision. The results allowed for an analysis of current practices in terms of usage and infrastructure, as well as the wishes, needs, and constraints of individuals and private or public service companies. The entire process relies on the collective work of a group of volunteer citizens who joined the citizen consultation initiative "Living Year-Round on Belle-Île-en-Mer."
