by Didier Hazart is a dental surgeon and his grandfather Henri HAZART, an industrialist from the North, manufactured the first radiology devices in 1925. In the mid-1890s, France entered one of the most prosperous periods in its history, a period aptly called the "Belle Epoque". It was the greatest technological, industrial, economic, cultural and social revolution in European history. From the discovery of X-rays by Professor Roentgen in 1895, one of these revolutions was born, medical radiology. The latter, thanks to Marie Curie's involvement in the First World War, would acquire its letters of nobility and become an essential medical specialty for doctors. This conference will take us on a journey from Roentgen's discovery to the mass production of the first radiology devices.
