Free in thought and action, both contemplative and researcher, no subject made him give up. It is appropriate to return to this life as a communicator and popularizer. Without doubt the "Robin Hood" of science because his great concern was to distribute and share his knowledge but also that of the progress of Science. Astronomer, he made astronomy accessible to all and created the Astronomical Society of France and the Juvisy/Orge Observatory.
