By Dominique Marchais. The discussion following the screening will focus on how natural and human-induced dynamics, as well as our societal choices, shape and will continue to shape the landscape. In partnership with the CPIE (Permanent Center for Environmental Initiatives). The Watershed Line falls within the Loire River basin, from the source of the Vienne River on the Millevaches Plateau to the estuary. The watershed, not the Loire River itself! That is to say, the entire area sloping towards the sea, the whole irrigated space, not just the river's course. This includes industrial zones and wetlands, ditches and highways, meeting rooms and construction sites. Because water is everywhere: in the soil, in the groundwater, in the air, circulating, infiltrating, evaporating, and everywhere connecting territories, highlighting their interdependence, inspiring us to dream of their solidarity. The watershed line is therefore not only this geographical line that separates watersheds but it is also the political line that connects individuals and groups who have something in common: water, a territory, a landscape.
