La Maison du Littoral

Located at Pointe des Poulains, the Maison du Littoral welcomes you from April to November and during school holidays. Visiting the Maison du Littoral means discovering the incredible riches of the natural environments of Belle-Île-en-Mer and its marine protected area. The place, open to all, offers two spaces, each addressing two themes: - "Wander in natural spaces": On the ground floor, go on an adventure in the island's natural spaces through interactive games and fun exhibitions, and discover the different actions for the protection, management and enhancement of natural environments. You will learn the behind the scenes (natural) of the island and will never walk the coastal paths in the same way again! Self-guided tour. - "Dive into a marine protected area": Live a unique immersive experience on the 1st floor of the Maison du Littoral! A short film invites you to delve into the seabed of Belle-Île and discover the breathtaking and almost unknown landscapes of Belle-Île. The film, lasting approximately 20 minutes, was shot entirely freediving, without any special effects, by Ariel Delebecque and Axel Casters, then set to music by composer Bertrand Wolff. A feat as physical as it is artistic, with breathtaking beauty and dreamlike quality... One piece of advice: dive in! Paid admission (see prices below - free for children under 7). The last entry to the "Dive in a protected marine area" area is 30 minutes before closing time.
