Kraft, atelier d'encadrement

In the heart of Avenue Carnot, number 27 now houses the Kraft workshop, the studio of Cassandre, a passionate artisan framer. Nathalie's Bord de Mer gallery is transformed into a boutique workshop where art and crafts intersect and nourish each other. Cassandre is based there for 7 months (before the gallery reopens). After a first life as a dancer, she obtained her CAP in framing in 2023 at the École d'Ameublement de Paris. She then trained in various workshops and worked for museums and galleries. Now she is moving to Belle-Île to pursue her dream: opening her own workshop. In her Kraft workshop, meaning "made with one's hands," which perfectly sums up Cassandre's approach, she creates custom frames using materials such as kraft, wood, paper, lead, and more. Her work is a blend of expertise and creativity; she enhances the works entrusted to her, while ensuring their preservation. At the same time, she works with Paulin, a painter and illustrator, her life and creative partner. Their talents complement and complement each other. Together, they exhibit their works in this space: unique original watercolors framed by hand. Paulin also presents paintings, in oils and acrylics, he passionately depicts landscapes, animals, and portraits. Cassandre and Paulin began selling their creations in 2021 at the Belle-Île markets, which remain a privileged place for them to meet the public. This summer, you can find them there again and discover their latest creations. At the Kraft workshop, come have your work framed, discover Paulin's paintings, or order a unique creation.
