Type of show: Ciné-Concert “London, 1965. Johnny wanders the streets while his father goes to a meeting of a racist organization. He meets Jemima, whose family has just arrived from the Caribbean. Hand in hand, they set off on an adventure in a working-class London whose landscape is still marked by the aftermath of the bombings, where one encounters carts and horses. Jemima and Johnny is the second film by self-taught director Lionel Ngakane, a South African then in exile in the United Kingdom.
