Come and meet this passionate and captivating artist for whom art is not static; it is an artistic expression that unites and fosters growth. As an engraver, Dominique Moulin uses an original technique of engraving on polystyrene and printing on paper, canvas, and wood. He alternately guides or allows the material to evolve. As a painter, he plays with forms and textures, warming acrylics with oil pastels. "In addition to drawing and painting, I practice a personal engraving technique that allows for multiple forms of expression, playing with the stickiness of the paint, its liquid effects, and blurred marks. The matrix is used as a tool onto which the brush distributes shapes and colors in the quest for an ever-renewed image. Prints on paper, canvas, and wood. This series of drawings reflects recurring themes in my drawings and paintings: the tree, with a predominance of the trunk in the representation; the human figure; fish; birds; and landscapes in which the subtle, anecdotal element allows the viewer's imagination multiple interpretations." If you are passing through Bedex, you can visit his studio by appointment only in July and August at +33 6 17 44 79 48. Engraving workshops are available upon request for adults and children.
