Pauline, a student at the Maritime High School of Etel, Aventurières is freely inspired by words collected from women fishermen in Brittany. Jeanne is the daughter of a long line of daughters and wives of sailors. In her family, one has always been the daughter or wife of a sailor, but one has never gone to sea as a woman sailor. A sort of tenacious taboo that her mother Léone broke. Léone went to sea, despite the headwinds and family storms. Léone became a "fisherman". Today, Jeanne wonders if she should take over the family boat, if she too should embark to fish, and for what future? To find answers to her questions, she examines the journeys of women who have taken to the sea.
