Friday, November 8 at 8:30 p.m. “La Restanza” by Alessandra Coppola (92 mins – Italy, Belgium – 2021) Castiglione d'Otranto, in the south of Italy. A group of thirty-somethings no longer accept that the solution to the economic, ecological and political problems of the territory is always to “Leave”. They propose to the villagers who own pieces of fallow land, often felt as a burden, to pool them. They then decide to stay, to link their lives to the land and to invest in a value: being together. Castiglione becomes the village of La Restanza. Ancient seeds and local biodiversity are cultivated there, decisions are made together, and a local economy is developed. By accepting the shadows of the past, we rediscover another potential of the place. Saturday, November 9 at 8:30 p.m. “Ghost Song” by Nicolas Peduzzi (76 mins – France – 2021) Houston, Texas. Alexandra, Will and Nate struggle to survive in a city that devours people - like dreams. Former gang leader or disowned rich kids, each faces their demons while a hurricane approaches. "Ghost song" is the promise of a new lease of life, between music, hallucinations and hopes of redemption. Sunday, November 10 at 8:30 p.m. In partnership with Les Tempestaires, the Bibliothèque du Génie and the Cinéma Le Petit Bal Perdu.
