Marie Pinguet, dancer and teacher of Pilates, invites you to discover or deepen this practice during an internship which will take place from Monday 9 to Saturday 14 August at the multi-purpose hall of Bangor. The Pilates method is a set of exercises aimed at strengthening the deep muscles of the body, the one that supports our posture. This technique is named after its creator, Joseph Pilates, who developed it in the early 1930s in New York. Its particularity is to attach great importance to the center of the body, in other words to the abdominal belt and to the deep muscles of the back, as the basis of a harmonious posture. However, during a Pilates session, the whole body is worked. The emphasis is on control and fluidity of movement, breathing, coordination and precision. This method strengthens and lengthens the muscles, improves awareness of the body and posture, develops flexibility and balance while channeling stress. This practice is for everyone ... and everyone! While it is difficult to welcome pregnant women during group lessons, young mothers are however welcome, this practice being very effective for getting back into shape after childbirth.
